At United Way, our mission remains to harness, leverage and strategically invest the collective power of donors, advocates and volunteers, to drive measurable results that improve the lives of people in our region. We will continue to focus on breaking the cycle of poverty by transforming the lives of children, families and communities through our broad approach and programs which supplement early learning programs and other education-based initiatives as well as financial stability and workforce development programs to provide a continuum of services to those in need. United Way has the unique ability to identify community challenges such as the pandemic we are now facing, and bring together collaborative efforts to drive solutions that can significantly impact intergenerational poverty for generations to come. We are advancing a two generation approach that builds youth success and family stability throughout the region today, and into the future. The importance of this broad, intergenerational approach is more important than ever at this time of uncertainty and recovery, which will make the best practices services that we support in collaboration with our nonprofit partners even more needed, and in greater numbers, than ever before.
