Starting as a Community Chest in 1937 the United Way of South Central Massachusetts has moved forward with each passing year. Now we are celebrating 85 years of serving the people who live in the towns of Charlton, Dudley, Southbridge, Sturbridge and Webster in southern Worcester County. Helping thousands of people annually to make their lives better. By providing access to early childhood education and care, financial resources to combat homelessness and provide income saving programs, and healthy initiatives such as nutrition for the elderly and programs to improve health outcomes. The United Way has been there for those that need it most.
