University Preparation Charter School (UPCS) is a dual immersion school located in Camarillo, California and are affiliated with California State University at Channel Islands (CSUCI). As a K-8 charter school campus, we serve pre-school, elementary school and middle school students from all over Ventura County. We have a diverse student population with more than 50% of our students receiving free and reduced lunch. We value the multiculturalism that our two-way dual language and language enrichment programs support. Our schools are unique and we are proud of the programs that we have to offer our students.
Mission: University Preparation Charter School at CSU Channel Islands is a collaborative community of innovative learners who seek out challenges and persevere toward individual and shared goals. We provide multiple opportunities for students to thrive in a diverse and compassionate learning environment.
The UPCS PTA executive board is composed of elected volunteers, who each serve for a year upon election. The board members are seen as representatives of parents, school staff, and students. These members are parents, teachers, staff, and school community members who volunteer their time and efforts to help foster a positive school environment for our children.
