The Valley Central Education foundation was created by a group of like minded community members to enhance the education opportunites for the students of the Valley Central School District. We are a separate entity from the school district that serves k - 12 population. Through fundraising events we are able to partner with the district to provide for the students. We partnered for a $24,000.00 STEAM initative where we donated to the district funds to supplement the STEAM programs includng purchasing 3D printers for the elementary schools.
Our Teacher Grants are requests from teachers for programs or specific items that are not required or covered by the school district budget, however will benefit the students. We have awarded over $56,000.00 in teacher grants in the past 11 years. We pledge to donate up to 10% of our fund balance on 06/30/XX towards these teacher requested grants. The number of students served by us varries from year to year and is hard to calculate, however our district has seven schools and all have benefitted from our grants.
