Since 1987, Valley Family Center has provided counseling and educational services to the low- income community of the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles to help create a healthier community. Valley Family Center provides individual, couple and family counseling, a victims of domestic violence program that provides counseling, support groups and case management for adults and children, a batterers' intervention program, parent education and an after school tutoring program for children. Through these family centered programs, Valley Family Center provides preventive services to strengthen individuals and families, as well as early intervention programs to help those who have been abused, those who have witnessed abuse, and those who have perpetrated abuse, to break the cycle of violence.
