Valley Montessori School is a non-profit 501(c)(3) located in the Bay Area. We serve 400 students from ages 18 months through 14 years and through the Montessori method we teach our students to be global citizens, learn independence, and develop a lifelong love of learning and curiosity. Our school was founded in 1976 in a room at a local church and it has since blossomed into a community of over 400 students due to the support of our school's families who wanted to see our school grow along with their children. We have students who attend from all over the tri-valley and we are a three times accreddited school through the American Montessor Society, The California Association of Public Schools, and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Our organization is also a certified green business, one of very few schools in the state that have achieved that status. We have a solar farm and practice composting in every classroom as a means of teaching our students how to care for our environment.
Our goal is to teach our students to be surious, care about the work that they do, and to develop a deep understanding of each other and the world around them. We strive to incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion holistically through all of our educational programs and through our community culture.
