The purpose of the VSC is to promote charitable, social, and educational activities; to extend welfare support for military members and their families as well as the community at large; and to provide opportunities for giving back to our military community and promoting the abilities of our spouses. Every year we raise thousands of dollars in scholarships, donate to community organizations, and directly serve our community. We do all this while enjoying the fellow company of our spouses, listening to powerful guest speakers, creating fabulous craft projects, and hosting fun community events.
100% of the money we raise goes back to scholarships and local organizations. In 2018, we gave $15,000 to scholarships for deserving high school seniors and military dependents. We also gave $8,500 to local and national causes including Tri-State, Air Force Aid Society, YWCA, Bennie's Barn, Enid SPCA, RSVP, Semper Fi, Enid Senior Center, Curtis Le May Foundation, Fisher House, 4R Kids, and Enid High School Swim Team.
