Each year, the WAVE Foundation at Verdugo Woodlands Elementary School grants over $50,000 to provide educational resources forour elementary grade students which would otherwise not be available. These include: * Textbooks and educational subscriptions* History, science, robotics and social studies programs* Music, theater, and visual arts lessons* Classroom equipment and technology* Reading skills instructors* Counseling for behavior and well-being Through generous donations of businesses in our community, WAVE has been able tocontinue enhancing the educational experience of students at Verdugo Woodlands. Theseprograms are especially important for financially disadvantaged families, and those studentsimpacted by learning losses due to school shutdowns during the Covid-19 pandemic.
