The Victoria McGrath Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2018 with a goal of “opening doors and uplifting lives.” The foundation honors the memory of a remarkable young woman, Victoria McGrath, who was committed to bringing hope and care for vulnerable, under-served people. Victoria was passionate about helping children with special needs, veterans and refugees displaced by conflict. Tragically, Victoria died in a car accident in 2016 after recovering from serious injuries from the Boston Marathon Bombing in 2013. Victoria's parents created this charity to continue their daughter's legacy of selflessness and compassion. As a member of the VMF Marathon team, I am fundraising to support the Victoria McGrath Foundation's community service projects. This year, all funds raised for the Victoria McGrath Foundation will provide scholarships for individuals with disabilities to go to Family Retreats and Outdoor Adventure programs at Waypoint Adventure.
