Each year, Chenega MIOS hosts the Chenega Invitational, a charity golf tournament that over the past 14 years, has raised over $800,000 for the veteran community!
The previous 14 years, proceeds were donated to Azalea Charities' Aid for Wounded Warriors, a not-for-profit out of Dumfries, VA, an organization that donated comfort and relief items to servicemen and women in need. In those years, MIOS was grateful for the opportunity to raise over $800,000 for our brave warriors. Unfortunately, Azalea closed its doors in 2020. With one door closing, another one opens, and Chenega looks forward to supporting a new charity, Vigilant Torch Association, this year. Vigilant Torch is a volunteer organization that provides vital financial support to the Special Operations Community in their greatest time of need. To do this, they provide scholarships, emergency relief funds, family maintenance, and resilience assistance, and social activity support. The Vigilant Torch serves, “Because our Soldiers and their Families Deserve our Help.”
