The Villa Sinfonia Foundation celebrates providing musical education for students and families throughout the Bay Area! Students as young as 5 and through high school age develop their musical skills while working together with professional coaches in our string programs.

Our mission statement: The Villa Sinfonia Foundation is dedicated to developing string musicians of all ages and abilities, through the performance of chamber music and chamber orchestra music, assisted and coached by professional musicians.

Villa Sinfonia is a unique 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which serves string students of all ages and levels, and without regard to a family’s ability to pay tuition. Entire families can get involved in our programs, so although our orchestras include mostly student-aged musicians, there are also many string-playing parents who join to be involved in music with their children, making our orchestras multi-generational. Our youngest students participate in weekly group classes, and we have two orchestra levels for our more advanced students. Based in SF, our students come from the East Bay and as far south as Los Altos Hills.

Villa strives in all its programs to foster students’ love for music, commitment to shared musical goals, and teamwork in a supportive and collaborative environment. Our musicians perform 3 formal concerts each year, and also present annual holiday concerts in community centers such as the Veterans Medical Center (in past years) and St. Anne's Home for the Aged (scheduled for this year). As an organization, we have also participated in the Coastal Cleanup Day in SF and played the anthem at a Giants game each season for the past 15 years!
