Vista Grande Falcon Fund (VGFF) was founded in 1998 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to enhance the quality of education for Vista Grande students. VGFF fundraises to provide programs for our children that are no longer funded by the State of California. These programs include classroom paraeducators (teacher assistants), art, music, and technology.
Vista Grande’s classroom paraeducators provide targeted reading, writing, and math support to students. Our art, music, and technology classes give children opportunities to try new activities that may not strictly fit into the curriculum, but positively impact student attendance, motivation, performance, and critical thinking skills.
The cost to provide this programming is $197,000/year. Half our annual revenue is raised through direct donations from Vista Grande families. The rest of our revenue is raised through fundraisers, the largest of which is our school auction.
