VIS -Volunteers In  Service - Mission Statement

Wernersville State Hospital's Official auxiliary organization.

VIS is a tax exempt, non-profit organization recoginized under section 501 of the IRS. We are qualified to receive tax deductible bequests and gifts.

Volunteers In Service seeks, as a fundamental goal to provide financial resources and services in order to enhance the quality of lives of the men and women who receive treatment at Wernersville State Hospital. It also seeks to maintain administrative oversight by the Indigent Stipend Program. VIS will continue to endorse quality staff-volunteer relations and to promote a positive image of Wernersville State Hospital and the Volunteer Department. VIS sponsors fundraising events and other programs to supplement the hospital's endeavors.
