Wag Again Rescue and Pearland Canine Resource Center were founded to help make an impact on the pet population and animal welfare in SE Texas.
To date, Wag Again rescue has saved over 1000 dogs from local shelters and the streets of Houston, TX. These dogs have successfully been adopted into incredible loving forever homes. Wag Again Rescue operates on donations to allow the dogs to be fully vetted medically and behaviorally before adoption
In efforts to make a bigger impact, July 2021, Wag Again Rescue founded Pearland Canine Resoure Center to serve as a complete resource for pet owners. This includes low cost and sometimes free veterinary care as well as training and education services. To date we have treated/helped oer 7000 pets in the 16 months since opening.
We focus on educating the community on pet ownership, helping pet owners afford medical care, and assisting to keep pets in their homes (and not surrendered at local shelters or dumped on the streets). With an estiamted 1 million stray dogs on the streets of he metro Houston area, decreasing that number is paramount.
