We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a dedicated community of dog lovers working to reduce euthanasia in local shelters and increase awareness of rescue dogs being wonderful pets.
Wags & Walks was founded in 2011 by Lesley Brog who was devastated by the number of innocent dogs being euthanized in LA shelters due to overcrowding. Wags & Walks’ main goal is to break the stigma around rescue dogs and decrease the number of dogs euthanized in local shelters by proving that you can rescue wonderful dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
In 2019, our Nashville chapter was born. With a high number of dogs being euthanized due to overcrowding in local and rural shelters in the South, we knew we had to help. Our Nashville team is small, but mighty and has made an incredible impact in just a couple of years.
Since 2011, Wags & Walks has collectively saved more than 9,000 dogs. Our impact comes as a result of our dedicated team and a strong network of partners, incredible alumni, and loyal supporters that deeply believe in our mission. We are incredibly grateful for the way our community embraces our teams and our dogs. With your help, we can save so many more.
