Walden Family Services supports foster children and youth 0-24 who have been removed from their homes due to neglect, abuse, or sexual abuse. Walden's mission is to support the lives of young people through lasting relationships from which they grow and realize their full potential. Walden specializes in serving children who are medically fragile, have behavioral or developmental delays, are LGBTQ, or are part of large sibling groups. We provide in-depth, specialized training and ongoing support to our carefully selected resource families so that they can help the children in their care heal and thrive. Walden has been a recognized leader in the foster-to-adopt community for over 46 years, having pioneered treatment-level foster care as well as being one of the first nonprofits licensed to offer a Transitional Housing Placement Program for youth aging out of the foster system.
