Walden has spent more than 50 years nurturing children’s natural wonder, and your support helps maintain and enrich the school’s educational programs, enhance music and the arts, technology, the campus, and provide faculty professional growth.
Founded in 1970, Walden is an independent, coeducational elementary school for Pre-Kindergarten through 6tgh grade students. Walden provides a developmentally appropriate program to a diverse community of learners that encourages responsibility, initiative, child-led inquiry, ethical behavior, and excellence. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Walden has made extensive health and safety adjustments to sustain its core mission while caring for the wellbeing of its entire community. In these historically trying times, Walden has excelled at providing a safe space that offered children continuous learning and community.
Walden depends on generous support from the community to do the important work of educating future community leaders. Your donation will receive significant recognition throughout the Walden community, which draws from Pasadena, San Marino, South Pasadena, Glendale, Los Angeles, and the greater San Gabriel Valley and includes alumni that span several decades.
