The Walkerton & District Hospital Foundation was incorporated in 1994 as a not-for-profit charitable organization. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors that represent the people of Walkerton and surrounding communities. The Foundation is dedicated to raising funds to assist the Hospital in strengthening patient care, further education, and obtain the most recent and state-of-the-art medical equipment. Our success is secured directly to the compassionate and generous support of our donors.

The Mission of the Walkerton & District Hospital Foundation is to encourage and facilitate citizens and service groups to financially support OUR local hospital. Hence the Foundation's task "Actively Working to Keep Our Local Hospital Current". The Foundation will receive, acknowledge and utilize the funds raised to assist in the purchase of equipment, support patient programs and provide health related education to our community. The Foundation will diligently maintain a reserve fund to provide investment income that enables continuity of its services in the future.
