CASA began in 1977 in Seattle as a local judge recognized the needs for abused and neglected children to have a voice in the courtroom.  The program has since expanded nationwide.

Our Warrick County CASA program serves 200 children annually.  We maintain over 50 volunteer advocates who meet with their assigned children at least once a month, attend family team meetings, keep in contact with all service providers, family and school teachers who are part of the child's life and report to the judge each hearing.  Our advocates serve as a voice for the child.
