The Washington Crossing Park Association (WCPA) is the officially recognized friends organization of the Washington Crossing State Park of New Jersey. The WCPA works to preserve, enhance and advocate for the park and the history it represents. The Association strives to educate citizens and enrich their quality of life through knowledge of, and exposure to, the park.

Washington Crossing State Park is a 1200-acre gem, containing meadows, woodlands, and 13 miles of trails, as well as campsites, a nature center, a visitors center museum, an astronomical observation center, an open air theater, an arboretum, and picnic facilities along the banks of the Delaware River.

It is a true American crossroad of history and nature.

Our organization provides support for the three main facets of the park:

  • We advocate for its environmental legacy via invasive plant removal, native plant and tree plantings, and river cleanups;

  • We enhance its recreational resources through trail stewardship, repair and maintenance, trail maps, marketing of the park's many nature programs, and fundraising for renovations;

  • We preserve its historic heritage with guided tours, trail maps, educational programs, live history events, and more!
