The Washington Informer Charities a non-profit organization that seeks to improve 21st century literacy among children and adults in the Metropolitan Washington D.C. area. In advancing its mission, WIC develops innovative programs and creates scholarship opportunities through partnerships with public, private and non-profit entities that support WIC activities.
Washington Informer Charities also presents the following events each year:
· MLK Peacewalk and Parade
· African American Heritage Tour
· Washington Informer DC Citywide Spelling Bee
