WasteCap Resource Solutions is an industry-supported 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization transforming waste into resources throughout Wisconsin. We aim to reduce environmental impact and stimulate economic development in our local communities by providing waste reduction and recycling assistance. For over two decades, WasteCap has offered practical, cost-efficient solutions for diverting waste from landfills, increasing recycling and reuse, and promoting sustainability through community outreach, strategic partnerships, and green business consultations. We believe that everyone, from the individual choosing to recycle to the big business reducing waste in facility operations, can help save our planet.
Working today to ensure a sustainable future, WasteCap takes a holistic approach to reducing waste in Wisconsin communities. Recycling and reuse drastically reduces emissions. While individual actions matter, businesses also play a crucial role in driving climate action; according to the Paris Climate Accord, they hold the potential to reduce global emissions by 60% by 2030. WasteCap aims to reduce waste at every stage of its production through (1) empowering individuals to recycle and eliminate waste from their daily lives, (2) promoting sustainable business practices that increase the market for recycled and reused materials, and (3) helping businesses eliminate waste from their operations before it is produced. WasteCap provides community members with tools for easily accessing local recycling services, such as our Wisconsin Recycling Directory. We also work with businesses to perform waste audits, achieve zero waste certifications, and increase reused and salvaged materials. The local economic and environmental impact of our current work serves all Wisconsin residents living in the Southeastern region of the state.
