The National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) is a 501c3 organization that focuses on the conservation of wild turkeys across the United States. The Wateree Chapter was started to raise funds for the NWTF. The money raised by the Wateree Chapter goes to NWTF to help establish and maintain habitats for wild turkeys; as well as funding different outreach and scholarship programs across the nation. Annually the Wateree Chapter holds a Hunting Heritage Banquet in Camden, SC to help with the fundraising efforts. During the course of the banquet there are live auctions, silent auctions, and raffles; these are the major sources of monies raised the night of the banquet. A large portion of the items we auction or raffle off are donated to the Wateree Chapter each year.
