Waterloo Wellington Down Syndrome Society is a parent-led charity focused on community building, advocacy and supporting families and individuals with Down syndrome. We're a charity that does not receive any direct government funding for our operations and we rely solely on fundraising. First, we offer bursaries to supplement the limited services available to families. Next, we also offer programs for people with Down syndrome. In addition, we also offer events and learning opportunities for the families to build knowledge and create strong support networks. Lastly, we are also fierce advocates that work to shatter misconceptions about people with Down syndrome and build connections with the broader community.
