The mission of the PTSO is to facilitate a relationship between home and school in which parents, teachers and students cooperate in combined efforts to bring the best available educational, physical, social and thought provoking opportunities to all the students of Waukesha STEM Academy. This relationship will be encouraged through fundraising, special events, open communication and encouraging student, parent and administration/teacher involvement in social functions.

The Waukesha STEM Academy PTSO’s number one priority is connecting with parents. Our primary objective is to support our school and our students. To meet this extremely important goal, fundraising is our biggest action. In these times of shrinking school budgets, that function has taken on an increased importance in many communities. And we do spend routine amounts for enrichment programs, teacher appreciation and school activities. But we also buy big ticket items- like a new gym floor and hopefully a new playground in the near future! Successful PTSOs don't live to fund-raise, they fund-raise to live. In other words, we focus on building the kind of school community where teachers and students can do their best work. That means running family events, like Open House, Dances, Book Fair and this year the Spring Online Auction. We organize volunteers to help teachers with school events and our committees with events and fundraisers. What we can accomplish is as diverse as the needs of our school.
