Vision

Our vision is a safe community where individuals of all ages reach their highest potential, fostering lasting change and positive impact throughout Orange County.

Culture

Waymakers offers individuals, families and communities the steadiest, surest, safest pathways to promising outcomes. To clients, Waymakers is the stable home they never had. Their voice when they’re too fragile to speak. Their alternative to the juvenile justice system. Their path away from gang life, substance abuse and other destructive behavior. And their counseling support at a time of greatest need. Waymakers is their advocate, ally, voice of reason and mentor – the one who walks with them on the razor’s edge. The people of Waymakers are committed to supporting clients on their journeys and fostering lasting change and positive impact throughout Orange County.

You never imagine you would be a victim of a violent crime or have a child in crisis. However, it happens more often than you realize. Each year, Waymakers helps over 100,000 people in our community.

Here are some of the things Waymakers has been doing for the past 50 years in Orange County:

· Sheltering Children (We operate four emergency youth shelters: Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach and two in Tustin. Providing respite care, crisis intervention, individual and family therapy while fostering the development of coping and life skills).

 · Supporting Crime Victims (Providing emotional and emergency assistance, court advocate support, and restitution services. Maintaining a 24-hr on-scene crisis response team for violent crimes and mass victimization).

· Domestic violence (Addressing domestic violence through services like restraining orders, restitution and resource referrals).

· Human Trafficking (We are Orange County’s 24-hr response task force, providing emergency and crisis support to victims. Additionally a leader in human trafficking education and prevention in the state of California).

· OC Sexual Assault Hotline and Hospital Advocacy (We are Orange County’s ONLY 24-hr response task force. Providing emergency services on the hotline, at the hospital and throughout the judicial process).

· Educating Communities (Gang, sexual assault, human trafficking prevention. Drug, alcohol and tobacco awareness and youth development programs. Leader in training law enforcement, schools and other community organizations).
