Wayne County Protective Agency dba Fair Haven is a 501C3, non-profit charitable organization serving victims of domestic violence and their children. Fair Haven is a 12-bed, 24-hour emergency domestic violence shelter open 365 days a year. Fair Haven serves Wayne, Appling, and Jeff Davis counties, working to achieve its mission to end the cycle of domestic violence by providing emergency shelter, per shelter, comprehensive services, outreach services, and education on the cycle of domestic violence. Through providing case management, legal assistance, individual therapy, children's services, childcare, support groups, and outreach services, Fair Haven's goal is to help victims transition into a healthy, independent lifestyle free of violence.
WCPA's 2022-2023 fiscal year statistics display that WCPA received a total of 493 crisis calls from victims seeking shelter or outreach services, served 170 victims in the shelter, 75 victims in the outreach/legal advocacy program, four dogs and three cats in our pet program; and reached over 8,532 of people through support groups, social media, and outreach and awareness events.
