Our mission is to increase access to world-class Montessori education for families most in need. For many families, this means they need financial assistance. For other families, this means that they need special accommodations to help with learning disabilities. It could also mean they are grieving, dealing with trauma, or healing from discrimination. All of our teachers are trained in trauma-informed care and positive discipline.

Our goal is to be an inclusive school that supports the needs of families so that we can deliver equitable outcomes to all of the children we serve. We recognize that we cannot serve children without also serving the needs of their families. We are so thankful for the support of so many community organizations to provide wraparound services and assistance to our families. Here are some things you should know about what you are providing the community when you support Westabou Montessori School:

  • 72% of our students attend through our financial aid programs.
  • Our toddler program is FREE to select families who are attending a literacy program (GED program, college classes, reading instruction, etc.).
  • 56% of our students are from minority families.
  • We currently serve nearly 100 students age 2-16.
  • We are a host site for Americorps VISTA and SeniorCorps.
  • We have a fully organic, scratch-made, garden-based nutrition program that is grown on campus. 100% of our meals are made with ingredients kids grow!
