Our mission statement: As the major source of fundraising for Westfield Memorial Hospital, the Westfield Memorial Hospital Foundation will work with the hospital in providing financial support for the delivery of high quality health care to the residents of the Chautauqua region. Relationships with friends of the foundation will be continuously nurtured with the goal of establishing a lifetime of giving.
Westfield Memorial Hospital Foundation was established as a 501 (c) 3 organization in 1978 to support the needs of Westfield Memorial Hospital. Although the hospital and foundation are separate entities, they are both incorporated, have their own boards of directors, and are separate financial entities. They are partners in purpose and each is devoted in their own way, to making sure that patients receive the best care. Our small rural hospital provides a large range of services to the 14 communities we serve, typically with almost 30,000 visits per year. The foundation assists the hospital in raising necessary funds to help them procure updated and necessary medical equipment and services.
Keeping healthcare local is important to all of us, and doing so is a constant struggle for less populated areas such as ours. Getting help from our community is key.
