School Grades: Elementary School

The Weston Memorial Junior Public School Council works to improve student achievement and enhance the accountability of the education system to parents and caregivers. Our school council works inclusively, recognizing that all parents/caregivers have an equitable place in our school's community, free from racism, classism, and other isms, intentional or unintentional. They recognize that participation can take many forms and work to:

  • offer parents/caregivers a variety of ways to share their voices, knowledge, and expertise
  • recognize that relationship building is key to breaking down walls and barriers
  • strive to identify and eliminate barriers to participation for parents/caregivers
  • disrupt practices that contribute to oppression based on race, class, nationality, abilities, gender, education, or language

Our school council runs several fundraisers throughout the year in order to provide a tremendous benefit to our students. Our school council uses the funds raised to help pay for initiatives not covered in the TDSB school budget such as extracurricular science workshops, bussing for field trips and athletic events, classroom technology, and arts programs.

We are seeking donations either monetary or gift cards/prizes for our annual Fun Fair. This event is by far the biggest and most important fundraiser for our school.
