Wheels of Change is both a traveling and brick and mortar non- profit organization out of southern, NJ. Wheels of Change's mission is to bring free food, clothing, infant care supplies, personal hygiene items, and children’s toys to low-income families in underserved communities. We began our mission in January of 2021, where Wheels of Change visited 9 communities and served 1400 families. Wheels of Change started off with a 12ft trailer traveling to various underserved communities.
By July of 2022, Wheels of Change acquired its first storefront location in Gloucester City, NJ. With a brick-and-mortar location, we have been able to expand our services by inviting families to come in and gather items they needed. In 2022, we doubled families served to 3500 during our pop-up events. With the addition of our store front we were able to serve 107 families for 1:1 private appointments.
Our organization provides emergency appointments to many individuals for their needs to restore hope and dignity. We receive many calls from social workers, mothers escaping domestic violence, and families in desperate situations that need supplies for their children and themselves. With support from hte community, donators and many contributors we have been able to help many people and look forward to continuing our mission.
