Why Me is a non for profit, located in Worcester, MA that works with families who have a child with pediatric cancer. We provide support services, limited finanical support, family fun activities, and a small residential program for these families. Why Me is not part of any national organization, our budget is made up of grants, fundraisers and private donations. We go into the area hospital to meet our families, bring them treats, and explain all of our services. We offer, support groups for both families who have a child on treatment as well as families who have lost a child to pediatric cancer. We have several family fun activities through out the year, such as our annual holiday party, a halloween tick or treating party, an outing to a baseball game with a cookout and a carnival day. We have a group for Teens who have cancer/had cancer or who lost a sibling to cancer. These teens volunteer for the organization through out the year, and also part take in fun activities that are just for the teens. All of our services are free to our families including housing.
