Wild Souls is a Non Profit 501C3 organization permitted for wildlife rehabilitation through the Missouri Dept of Conservation. As one of only 4 wildlife onsite rescues nonprofits with a Transport Team in Missouri, our all volunteer run organization helps rescue, rehabilitate and release native Missouri wildlife. We are a free public service that receives NO government funding. Wild Souls is the only one in the area that does consistent on site rescues of injured, orphaned or entrapped wildlife. We educate humane wildlife conflicts, evictions, and exclusions while promoting education to the public to peacefully coexist with our beautiful wildlife. We serve the entire Eastern Jackson county area,and surrounding counties, with our 24/7 wildlife hotline and team of trained transporters. Our volunteer hotline dispatchers educate, calm and assess wildlife situations and bring on the transport team to quickly and carefully provide care for wildlife. Not all wildlife are a good candidate for rehabilitation; and by educating the public on reuniting and renesting strategies, we help native Missouri animals stay wild and free. If an animal is not on our permit for rehab, or needing emergency specialized care, our team transports that animal so that it can receive the best care possible. This includes transports to species specialists in Springfield, St. Louis, and to MU’s Raptor Rehab Project. Thank you for your involvement of this much needed movement!
