The Wiseburn Education Foundation exists to enhance student education, provide supplemental funding, and unify the schools and community of the Wiseburn Unified School District.
We work across all grade levels in the Wiseburn Unified School District to ensure learning takes place in a STEAM-rich and arts-abundant environment, and we build unity through beneficial partnerships with our schools, businesses, and community.
We fund all programming needs for music (including purchasing all instruments, sheet music, cleanings, etc.), performing arts (guest speakers, materials, and even major A/V purchases), physical education and wellness (including all equipment for the elementary school PE program and major purchases for upper level PE). We also fund an innovation grant program that all teachers can submit a grant and even a scholarship program for the high school level. We also fund positions in the District as needed over the years, such as a Science TOSA, a grant writer, and more.
Our biggest non-financial impact is building community (since our district straddles multiple geographies/cities) through fun events for parents and children, such as our largest fundraiser event Rock Around the Block, a carnival-like event for over 2000 people with games, rides, food, activities, music performances, performing arts, and more. In addition to that, we host trivia nights, a parent party, and other events to bring members of the community together.
