WISEPlace is the only Orange County-based nonprofit leading the effort to end homelessness for unaccompanied women. We provide women with safe shelter, counseling and mental health services, case management and addiction recovery, and employment assistance to help rebuild their lives.

At WISEPlace, the women we serve often lack the support system of a spouse, significant other, or children. More than half are disabled, three-fourths have experienced domestic violence and nearly all have incomes well below the poverty line. These and other factors put the women we serve at a greater risk of becoming homeless.

For nearly a century, WISEPlace has been a safe and trusting environment for unaccompanied homeless women in the greater Orange County region. Standing for WOMEN, INSPIRED, SUPPORTED, EMPOWERED –WISEPlace is a community of hope and housing that has served over 8,400 women to ensure they don’t face adversity alone.

The heart of what we do is to provide vital wrap-around services to the participants in our care.
The WISEPlace Way is a solutions-based program to get women back on their feet with support. The program includes the following services: Shelter, Case Management & Counseling, Goal Creation, Employment Assistance, Socialization, Health & Wellness, Addiction Recovery, Financial Planning, and Housing Assistance.
