Dating back to 1929, Women Communicators of Austin (WCA) is one of the largest and most diverse professional communications organizations in Austin.

Our membership includes more than 250 women (and a few men!) who believe that building a strong community of support for women in the industry benefits us all. Our members cover the full range of communications functions from journalism, marketing, public relations, content strategy, graphic design, internal communications, and more.

WCA supports Central Texas students, communications professionals, and non-profits through its philanthropic efforts. 

Over the years, WCA has awarded more than $85,000 to 55+ students with scholarships up to $3,500, subsidized registration for ongoing professional development, and assisted local non-profits with their most pressing communications issues.

WCA funds philanthropic programs via private donations, membership dues ($5.00 of every registration is set aside for scholarships and WCA’s philanthropic efforts), and via a few other annual events and activities.
