Our mandate is to provide emergency shelter to women age 16 plus, with or without children, who are experiencing any form of abuse in an intimate or familial relationship and who have no other alternate safe place. Our Outreach Program is a free, confidential service available to abused women and children who have either resided at the shelter and are transitioning to independence, or to women still in abusive situations who are seeking assistance. We are also a partner in the Family Violence Project, a community collaborative initiative which integrates a myriad of partner agencies at one location with the goal being to provide seamless services for victims of domestic violence.
We are the only agency of its kind in the Waterloo Region. As our region grows, so does the number of people seeking support. Last year, we had an increase of 300 calls to our support lines. With your help, we will be able to have a successful fundraiser and continue providing essential services to those who need it most. With your sponsorship, you will be providing safety, dignity, and comfort to the women and children seeking our help.
We are seeking In-kind sponsors to help support our 3rd annual Mother's Day Brunch,“Hats Off to Mom!”We are asking you to consider donating products or services that can be included in our silent auction and/or gift bags. In doing so, you will be helping support women and children in our community who are experiencing domestic violence.
