The Wood End PTO is a registered 501 (c)(3) organization that works closely with teachers, school administers, parents, and caregivers to provide in-school enrichment activities to enhance curriculum, field trips, social events for families, and overall support for the school, students, and staff at Wood End Elementary School. For the 22-23 academic year we have funded field trips to the Museum of Science, Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the Mass Audubon Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary, hosted in-school programming with the Discovery Museum, Meteorologist Danielle Niles, and author Scott Magoon, and all-school assemblies with Young Audiences of Massachusetts to name a few. In addition, we have provided supplementary funding to purchase new library materials and classroom supplies, as well as offset the cost of field day, 5th Grade End of Year celebrations, recess cart refreshes, Read Across America, and student council programming. With a budget of over $30,000 annually, we operate solely on fundraising and the generous support of our families and community partners.
