The Mission of Woodland Opera House Inc. is to preserve and operate the historic Woodland Opera House, a California State treasure, for the benefit of the region and to nurture performing arts.
Woodland Opera House Theatre Company produces musicals, plays, and comedies throughout the year and offers dance, musical theatre and drama classes.
We have over 400 children participating in theatre and dance classes and production workshops. This past year, members of our program were nationally recognized as part of the Junior Theatre Festival – West as winner of the Excellence in Ensemble award. This is an annual event sponsored by Musical Theatre International and iTheatrics. Being able to not only offer quality local theatre and dance education is imperative, but to be able to participate in such national conventions like the Junior Theatre Festival is important to expanding upon necessary arts education
