I'm writing on behalf of Young Adults with Special Abilities (YASA). We are a tax-exempt, non-profit Day Program located in Jamaica, Queens, New York, that has had the pleasure of assisting young adults with autism and other developmental disabilities for more than two decades. The mission of YASA is to help and support these ladies and gentlemen in becoming active, goal-oriented members of the larger community.
We hope to raise at least $30,000 from sponsors, businesses, and local community members this fiscal year to help us meet our Community Involvement Initiatives goals as well as contribute to our 993 Ed Fernbach Scholarship. By getting the people we help involved in community activities, volunteering, and building relationships with local businesses, we try every day to find and offer opportunities that will make everyone's life better.
YASA will be hosting our Annual Casino Night Gala in Westbury, New York. We are looking for raffle and auction donations as well as sponsorships to help us raise funds and get closer to our goal.
Our guests come from all over the five boroughs to join us in an evening filled with laughs, dancing and fun. Our last Gala hosted over 150 community members, staff, people supported, board members and local contributors. We are hoping this year will be an even better turnout.
