Youth Helpers is a 501(c)(3) organization and believes that children are the foundation of our future and all children should be allowed the opportunities to grow and discover who they were created to be.  Youth Helpers programs a summer camp called “UnPlugged” at Laurel Pines Camp in Southern California.

At camp, children enjoy “unplugging” from their electronics and experiencing the beauty of nature. Children go on a week-long adventure filled with games, great homemade food, fellowship, and personal growth.  They are empowered by building self-confidence, developing relationships with others, encouraging leadership and independence, having fun, and experiencing a truly life-changing week. Children are encouraged to discover who they are and what that means in the world.  UnPlugged camp is designed for kids to “get back to the basics” and let kids be kids; play games, have fun, laugh, look at stars and just be a kid.  Children return home stronger and more confident individuals.

It is our belief that as the youth grow and develop friendships with each other, it will not only strengthen the communities they live in but ultimately strengthen society.

Youth Helpers also program a teen leadership program called LYTE, Leadership for Youth through Training and Education.  This is available for teens in junior high and school.  LYTE program is designed to encourage and empower teens through real and meaningful activities to develop life skills that they can carry with them throughout life. LYTE is a day filled with fun activities, food, games, and learning! LYTE program is designed to encourage and empower teens and provide an opportunity to connect with others while learning some of the key factors that can help teens excel in academics, athletics, future careers, and much more. LYTE program focuses on developing personal growth to promote healthy self-esteem, confident communication, perseverance, career pathways, community service, and much more.
