Our mission is to strengthen and empower youth, families, and communities through effective counseling, prevention, and leadership. YSB is a nonprofit agency that has been helping children and their families with professional counseling services and delinquency prevention programs for over 50 years. Our focus is helping young people grow up to lead responsible and productive lives. YSB is especially dedicated to working effectively with low-income multiple-problem families from underserved populations who are uninsured, underinsured (can't afford a copay) and do not usually seek mental health care. YSB works closely with our local police departments and probation officers for our delinquency prevention programs. Our Peer Justice program is for first time offenders charged with a misdemeanor. If they complete our program, the charge will be removed from their record. Our Interventions program is for young men who are currently on probation for committing a felony. If they complete our program, their probation will be reduced.
