The 11th Annual Charity Golf Tournament is taking place on November 11th at the Coral Ridge Golf Club in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This annual event is hosted by Phyllis Thomas, a long-standing member on the Board of Directors at Women in Distress of Broward County (WID). We are the only Florida certified DV center in Broward County. This year WID is celebrating our 50th anniversary as a pillar of our community helping domestic violence survivors through our shelter, outreach programs, and advocacy. We are an emergency shelter with 130 beds, but we make our biggest impact through our therapy, childcare, parent classes, and donation drives for those continuing to live as domestic abuse survivors off our campus. Not to mention our legal services and 24/7 hotline. A day of golf and a silent auction promise good fun and funds for our cause. All proceeds benefit our organization directly, and a gift from you will make all the difference!
