The Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA is getting geared up for their 13th Annual Bike-A-Thon event that will be on Saturday, February 21, 2015! This is a fun and energy packed 8-hour studio cycling event made up of over 40 teams and nearly 300 participants all riding to raise money for the YMCA’s Annual Support Campaign. Serving over 20,000 members and over 30,000 program participants, all proceeds from the Bike-A-Thon benefit children, families and seniors in need in our community and give them the ability to access YMCA programs through financial aid. Last year, nearly 2,000 children, seniors and families received financial assistance from the Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA and over 220 children whose parents were active duty military had the chance at attend a week long day camp filled with fields trips, activities and snacks at absolutely no cost to the families.

A big silent auction, as well as program demonstrations and community highlights make the Bike-A-Thon the energetic event that it is. Everyone receives free giveaways from local sponsors and local eateries provide food and refreshment which increases community support that this event generates.
