The Nichi Bei Foundation is an educational and charitable nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping the Japanese American community connected, informed and empowered — primarily through our community newspaper (Nichi Bei News) and website (www.nichibei.org), as well as educational programming.

Our signature event, the Northern California Soy and Tofu Festival, is an annual fundraiser for the Foundation and strives to be a vehicle for community-building and leadership development. This exciting culinary and cultural event showcases soy and tofu vendors, offers live music and cultural entertainment, interactive games and tofu eating contests, and culminates with the Soy and Tofu Dessert Competition. Proceeds from the Festival help to publish the first nonprofit ethnic community newspaper of its kind in the country, the Nichi Bei News. 

As a community-focused nonprofit, we are inquiring to ask if you would be interested in supporting us in our festival! We are looking for in-kind donations that will be raffled off as general prizes and game prizes. We would be deeply grateful for any donation that you are able to make to help support our fundraising efforts, such as gift certificates, special memorabilia or the like. All donations will be properly thanked and acknowledged during and after the Fundraiser.
