Our Murder Mystery Dinner/Silent Auction will be held on January 25, 2020 at the Dunes Club in Myrtle Beach, SC.  Our largest fundraiser of the year, the murder mystery will be performed by the Carolina Forest High School Drama Club.  There will be over 240 expected attendees.  The Silent Auction portion of the event will have items such as round-trip airline tickets to domestic locations the airline flies, attraction tickets, artwork, golf outings and much more.  The goals of the Literacy Council are to provide trained volunteers to work one-on-one with those reading below a fifth-grade level; to increase skills to acquire a GED, and to identify those needing support for English as a second language.  We have also expanded to include a program for learning difficulties such as dyslexia for those age six and older.
