The 15th Annual Buddy Walk of South Plainfield will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Putnam Park in South Plainfield, NJ. The Buddy Walk was developed by the National Down Syndrome Society in 1995 not only to promote awareness and inclusion for people with Down syndrome but also to raise money for research and education programs.  The program has expanded from just 17 walks the first year to more than 250 world-wide.  Last year, over $13 million was raised worldwide for the Down syndrome community.

In 2018, we will be working once again with local groups like the Central NJ Down Syndrome Parent Advocacy Group, Network 21 and Shane and Wyatt's Down Syndrome Foundation as well as donating to National groups.  This year some of the proceeds will also go towards creating packets/gift baskets for new parents of children with Down syndrome.
