Finally, we are back after a 2-year break from COVID!  On April 30, 2022, the Rotary Club of East Lake Sunrise will be hosting our 15th Annual ‘Cruisin the Park’ Community Festival and Car Show at John Chesnut Sr. Park in Palm Harbor.  This annual fundraising event serves as our primary source of funds which are then donated to local community causes.  To date, with community support, we have raised more than $100,000 from these events. 

Throughout the pandemic, our club distributed funds raised through our car show to numerous charities in our area such as Oldsmar Cares Food Pantry, Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch, Chi Chi Rodriguez Foundation, supplying reading benches & books to local elementary schools, providing needed items at Christmas through the Santa for Seniors organization, and many others. These are just a few examples of the many types of organizations that our fundraiser assists. 

Our past charity car shows have attracted approximately 250 show vehicles and over 3000 spectators the day of the event. The reason for the popularity is that it has evolved into much more than just a car show, it is a family friendly Community Festival!  This family friendly event is co-hosted with the YMCA of North Pinellas, helping promote the Y's nationally recognized “Healthy Kids Day”. The show includes displays and activities from within the community including from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, East Lake Fire/Rescue, Brooker Creek Preserve, Krunch Robotics and many local community and nonprofit organizations.
