The Community Development Council of Quinte proudly offers programs such as The Good Food Box, The Good Baby Box, and Community Gardens. CDC Quinte is an organization that serves all of Hastings and Prince Edward counties. Our mission is to promote food security for all community members through community development, service, and social planning.

The Community Development Council of Quinte is thrilled to announce our upcoming 20 Days ‘Till Christmas fundraiser event. This fundraiser will occur from December 1st to December 20th, 2023. We aim to raise $5,000.00 and bring awareness to our Good Food Box and Good Baby Box programs.

During this exciting fundraiser, individuals can bid on and purchase items directly using the 32-auction webpage that we will create. Each dollar raised through this event will support all the programs offered at CDC Quinte.

With this in mind, we reach out to you and request your support in making this event a resounding success. Sponsorship or donation of a silent auction item would significantly contribute to the impact we can make on the lives of those we serve. Cash donations are always welcome. CDC Quinte will provide you with a Charitable Tax receipt for your item valued at $10.00 or more. Your support will make a tangible difference in the lives of those we support.

Established in 1995, the Good Food Box (GFB) Program provides fresh, healthy, affordable fruits and vegetables to hundreds of individuals and families annually. The box is packaged in Belleville, ON and distributed to our community partners located throughout Hastings & Prince Edward Counties. Anyone in our catchment area can access The Good Food Box program.

Established in 1999, The Good Baby Box is a weekly program that helps you stretch your baby food budget. Depots are located throughout Hastings & Prince Edward County so families can access the program in their own community.

To date, we have distributed over 30,000 Good Food Boxes.

Together, we can ensure that everyone in our community can access nutritious, affordable, healthy food and essential resources.
