The Harvest Ball is on Friday, October 25, at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland. Attendees come from all over Maine, including over 450 people in 2018, to gather at the event which serves to raise crucial funding for Harvest, the diocesan magazine for the Diocese of Portland. Harvest shares stories of hope-filled service in the community and promotes the works of many local charities. In recent editions, support services for the elderly, food assistance programs, and child development centers for families in need were among the groups highlighted. The magazine is sent free of charge to a readership of over 100,000 people in Maine. It is designed to inspire and uplift, but without the contributions of community businesses and organizations, this would not be possible. The ball includes live music and a popular silent auction. Donors' names and logos would be displayed on all sponsor lists, signage, in Harvest, in the ball program, and on our online platforms. Your generosity would also be announced aloud at the ball.
